| I visited the French-ruled islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon in August, 2000. The islands exhibit true French culture while resting just off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. I went there to study French for a week and had a great time at the school. This photo of the "Ile aux Marins", or fisherman's island, atests to the long fishing history of the islands. |

| Another shot on the Ile aux Marins. The stones were laid out as you see to dry the fish that were brought in daily. |
